The NumberMunch application was designed to be a simple but useful command line calculator. NumberMunch is most effective when it's at your fingertips. Run it from a link on Windows' Quick Launch toolbar, or from a shortcut key (recommended).
To create a shortcut key, find the NumberMunch entry in the Start menu, then right-click and select Properties.
The dialog box has a 'Shortcut key' field in which you press the keys you want to define as a shortcut. For example, hold down [Alt] and press [F12] then click Apply. Close the dialog then press [Alt][F12] together to run the program.
OPERATORS:
+ – * / Plus, minus, multiply, divide
^ Power (x ^ y) NB: Fractional power = root
% Modulus (x % y)
– Unary minus ( e.g. –2 2 * –sin(30) )
FUNCTIONS:
ROUND(m,n) Round M to N decimal places
MAX(m,n) Maximum value of M or N
MIN(m,n) Minimum value of M or N
SQRT(m) Square root of N ( = M ^ 0.5)
SIN(m) Sin of M in degrees
COS(m) Cos of M in degrees
TAN(m) Tan of M in degrees
ATAN(m) Degrees ArcTangent of M
ASIN(m) Degrees ArcSin of M
ACOS(m) Degrees ArcCos of M
CONSTANTS:
PI 3.141592654
